In 2022, Â鶹avÓ³»´«Ã½ celebrates its 20th year. We’re using this anniversary as an opportunity to highlight stories from our history of helping children in the UK and around the world.
Did you know, for example, that some of Â鶹avÓ³»´«Ã½’s earliest work was in international healthcare?
2003
One of Â鶹avÓ³»´«Ã½’s first projects was tackling HIV in South Africa.
2007
Continuing our work on treatment for HIV, in 2007 Â鶹avÓ³»´«Ã½ looked to neighbouring Mozambique.
2011
Â鶹avÓ³»´«Ã½ turned its attention to Zambia, where rotavirus was causing deaths through diarrhoea.
2012
Through Â鶹avÓ³»´«Ã½â€™s Safe Arrival Programme, a new focus was placed on maternal and newborn health provision in rural Zimbabwe.
Over the rest of the year, we’ll be spotlighting some more of the highlights from across Â鶹avÓ³»´«Ã½â€™s history. Look out for #Â鶹avÓ³»´«Ã½20 stories in Â鶹avÓ³»´«Ã½ News and here on our website. Take a look at this short video for a taste of what’s to come!
